The GX9 CMOS does not have low pass filter, while the GX8 does. So the GX9's picture may be a little finer than the GX8's, but both cameras are pretty much the same. I have a black GX8 since 8 years ago and it's still the camera I always have on hand only with the siver Lumix-Leica 15mm lens.

You compare the two cameras without mentioning the completely different lenses but you do mention some things that these cameras have in common? Not a great video and poor comparison. For sample photos you could’ve used the same photo or at least something similar and compare those side by side.

I see no difference between the two cameras. I have a GX9 and love it. I have the silver/black version, which is kind of cool retro looking. Great for street photography and travel. I am considering adding a GX8 for the weather sealing, though.

To give the D810 a 10/10 for sports is at least way too optimistic. I have both camera's (and use each in their best circumstances), but the D5 outperforms the D810 in speed (both AF and FPS), which is an absolute advantage in sports (and other moving subjects). The D810 has a slightly higher dynamic range (in low ISO) and more pixels (nice if you want to do a lot of cropping n post processing), so for landscapes, portraits and studio work (static subjects) I use the D810, although I would expect the D5 would perform excellent in these aspects too.
